In case you missed it, I’m Emily. My dad claims I’m named after either Emily Dickinson or the title character in A Rose For Emily. I’m a bisexual unmarried woman who writes poetry so, yeah, makes sense.
I’ve been creating websites since I was 13 years old, and I’m absolutely giving my age away when I tell you my first one was on Geocities. I’ve gone from animated gifs and typing in alternating caps to working professionally in digital marketing and social media management. Teenage me would be pretty psyched.
I was born, mostly raised, and currently still live in Memphis, Tennessee. My apartment is in a former hospital, where I live with my cats Milo and Eleanor and (hopefully?) no ghosts.
Anything strawberry (decor, clothing, the actual fruit!), traveling (especially road trips), tattoos, boots and colorful shoes, Chicago, the desert, deer (I’ve been collecting deer figurines since I was in my 20s), interior decorating, mid-century modern, ghost stories and the supernatural, analog photography, really anything related to real estate (architecture, old houses, browsing on Zillow for hours upon hours for my dream home), daisies, The Menzingers, Drew Barrymore (she has been my favorite actress/celebrity since I was about 12, and if I ever got to meet her, I’m pretty sure I would faint), thrifting and vintage stores, brunch (Bloody Mary over a mimosa, please!), Best Coast, rompers/jumpsuits, the sounds of a Southern summer (not the humidity, though, oof)
